Mental Health & Wellbeing Speakers

For Mental Health Awareness Week (15 to 21 May 2023) the Mental Health Foundation have announced that anxiety will be this years theme. The week will explore the experience of anxiety, how it will effect our mental health and how we can all play a part in helping reduce anxiety in ourselves and those around us.

3 TIPS TO HELP REDUCE YOUR ANXIETY:

  • Talk to someone you trust – Talking to someone you trust about what’s making you anxious could be a relief and help lift a weight off of your shoulders and relieve some of the pressure.

  • Look after your physical health – Make sure you’re getting enough sleep each night. Try to do some physical activity, sometimes, the best way to stop anxious thoughts is to walk away from the situation, exercise can be really helpful for your mental wellbeing.

  • Try breathing exercises – Breathing exercises can help you cope and feel more in control. You can find some suggestions on our page on relaxation.

With Mental Health Awareness Week quickly approaching, learning to deal/learn about mental health within the workplace and how you can handle it, increases ability to perform, deal with pressure and be happy in your line of work.
