Ellie Middleton is a creator, speaker, writer, consultant, and the founder of the (un)masked community for neurodivergents.
Diagnosed with both Autism Spectrum Condition and ADHD at the age of 24 after a lifetime of feeling misunderstood, she has since become a powerful advocate for neurodiversity.
Since her diagnosis, Ellie has cultivated an online audience of over 300,000 individuals, established the (un)masked community for neurodivergents, and collaborated with renowned brands such as The Independent, Google, and LinkedIn to reshape the narrative surrounding neurodiversity. Her mission is to amplify the positives of neurodivergence, advocate for societal accommodations for individuals with different cognitive profiles, and assist undiagnosed neurodivergent individuals in finding the understanding they deserve.
Ellie Middleton’s journey stands as a testament to the transformative impact of receiving a diagnosis. She believes that every neurodivergent person deserves the opportunity to unlock their true potential and change their outlook on life through diagnosis and understanding.
Ellie shared her story with neurodivergence and late diagnosis, the struggles – and of course strengths – that come with neurodivergence in the workplace. The presentation will conclude with some quick wins that everybody in the team can implement both at work and beyond to be more neurodivergent friendly.
Ellie will discuss what a menu of accommodations *actually* is and how you might go about creating and implementing one. She will touch on which things you can implement as general best practices across the board vs what things can be added to your menu.
