Sam Holness is an inspirational speaker and exceptional endurance athlete, widely recognised for both his sporting achievements and his advocacy for individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD).
Competing on a global stage, Sam is challenging stereotypes around neurodiversity while taking on some of the worldโs toughest endurance events. In 2022, he became the first openly autistic endurance athlete to complete the Ironman World Championships in Kona, Hawaii, proving that perceived barriers in sport can be overcome.
Sam has been recognised by Triathlete.com as a โMover and Shakerโ within the sport, and in 2020 was named in the Power 100 list of disability influencers and leaders.
His journey has attracted international attention, connecting with audiences worldwide and positioning him as a powerful bridge between sport, brands, and new audiences. Through partnerships with leading global brands, Sam has helped drive meaningful change and is now on track to set a series of Guinness World Records, further cementing his status as a true barrier breaker.
With a focus on endurance sport, Sam is on a mission to demonstrate that ASD is not a limitation to high performance. His schedule continues to be packed with Ironman triathlons, marathons, cycling, and trail running events, as he pushes boundaries and redefines what is possible for neurodiverse athletes.
Coached by his father, Tony Holness, the pair have delivered impactful talks together for organisations including KPMG, Lloyds Bank, and Havas, as well as for schools, universities, and community groups.
