With over 15 years of senior leadership experience in global organisations, Nahla’s personal and professional journey took a transformative turn when the kindness of a stranger helped her rebuild her life after tragedy.
This experience led Nahla to research the real meaning of kindness in leadership and business. She realised that the values embedded in kindness such as empathy, trust, integrity and connection, were often missing in corporate culture, contributing to stress, anxiety, and a lack of genuine engagement.
This realisation inspired her to launch Sunshine People CIC, a social initiative aimed at spreading kindness across society. In an unprecedented move, Nahla replaced traditional sponsorship with acts of kindness, raising nearly 250,000 documented acts through various challenges, including setting a Guinness World Record for travelling 5,007 miles on a stand-up bike.
Nahla’s new keynote focuses on how businesses can adopt emotionally intelligent leadership to create lasting social impact without creating additional burdens on society. It’s a vision for the future of ethical business.
