For more than a decade, alongside his teaching commitments, Steve Hill’s life has been one long highlight reel of adventure.
From climbing mountains, trekking through deserts, wading through rivers in the Amazon Jungle, and crossing frozen lakes in the Arctic Wilderness, he has consistently pushed his boundaries. Steve shows people of all ages that through self-belief, hard work, determination, and never giving up when things get tough, anything in life is possible.
Over the years, Steve’s personal challenges and adventures have included climbing Mount Kilimanjaro in Tanzania and Mont Blanc, trekking 200 miles through the Sahara Desert, and climbing Mount Elbrus in Russia, the highest mountain in Europe. He has completed an expedition through the Arctic Wilderness and trekked through the Jungles of Borneo, climbed Mount Kinabalu, and trekked to Mount Everest Base Camp.
His achievements extend to completing the Amazon Jungle Ultra Marathon, a 230km self-supported race through the Amazon Jungle, and the Arctic Ice Ultra, a 230km self-supported race through the Arctic Wilderness. He has climbed Mount Toubkal, the highest mountain in North Africa, and completed the Great Norse Run, a 380km run across Iceland from north to south, consisting of nine marathons in nine days.
Additionally, he completed the Highland Ultra, a 125km ultra marathon across the Highlands of Scotland, and ran 14 consecutive marathons across two countries, Costa Rica and Tajikistan.
Steve has recently been named on the Top 10 most inspiring Explorers list.
Through his motivational talks, Steve takes his audience on an inspiring journey as he shares his amazing adventures and the lessons he has learned along the way about life, self-doubt, overcoming challenges, and growth, but above all, about following your dreams.
