Born with Klippel-Trenaunay syndrome, Oliver Lam-Watson faced immense challenges, living with a condition that made it impossible to straighten or bear weight on his left leg.
Despite being advised by doctors to steer clear of competitive sports, Oliver Lam-Watson refused to let this diagnosis define him. He pursued a degree in architecture but soon turned his focus toward defying expectations and achieving greatness in sports.
Starting his competitive career in 2018, Oliver quickly rose to prominence. He won two Paralympic medals at Tokyo 2020 and followed this up with two more at the Paris 2024 Paralympics. In 2022, Oliver became a double European Champion in Warsaw, securing gold in both Team Épée and Foil events.
Oliver is now a passionate advocate for his “Do More” ethos, using his platform to challenge perceptions of disability and inspire others to overcome their own obstacles. Through his social media presence, he promotes inclusivity in sports, shares his experiences with anxiety and amputation, and provides a beacon of hope and motivation for audiences worldwide.

We were honoured to have Oliver Lam-Watson deliver a truly inspiring keynote on the theme “Do What You Can’t.” Oliver’s journey of overcoming barriers and redefining what’s possible was truly inspiring and his powerful message about resilience, adaptability, and pushing beyond comfort zones resonated deeply with everyone in the room.
Oliver was a great speaker for our event who really knew how to read the room and engage with the audience. He also joined pre-event for a networking breakfast where he was confident and enthusiastic when speaking to our guests. With such an interesting presentation and story, it created lots of questions in the Q&A section of the speaking slot and Oliver answered all these questions perfectly.
