Charlie Hart, also known as Ausome Charlie, is a keynote speaker and neurodiversity and LGBTQIA+ advocate who helps organisations create more inclusive, compassionate and high performing workplaces.
Blending lived experience with professional HR expertise, Charlie delivers powerful talks that encourage audiences to better understand difference, challenge assumptions and build cultures where everyone can thrive.
After leaving her role as an HR Analyst at Together for Mental Wellbeing, Charlie committed fully to speaking, driven by a passion to create a world where people of all identities and abilities feel accepted and heard. She has since become a respected voice in the diversity and inclusion space, known for her honesty, warmth and ability to explore conversations that others often avoid.
Charlie’s sessions centre on real lived experience of neurodivergence and being part of the LGBTQIA+ community. She speaks openly about adversity and resilience, balancing tough truths with optimism, humour and practical takeaways that audiences can apply immediately. Whether she is helping leaders rethink workplace culture or giving a voice to those who are often overlooked, Charlie creates an atmosphere of empathy, reflection and genuine connection.
A CIPD qualified HR professional and Professional Member of the Professional Speaking Association, Charlie delivers keynotes, workshops and panel sessions for corporate audiences and has spoken at events including the IGPP Neurodiversity at Work Conference. As a mother of neurodivergent teenagers and someone who received her autism diagnosis later in life, she brings an authentic and deeply relatable presence to every stage.
Her presentations are delivered with authentically neurodivergent quirkiness and self deprecating humour. She is unafraid to tackle emotive topics and speaks candidly about dark clouds and silver linings, adversity and resilience.
Warning: you may laugh, and cry, and laugh again. Audiences leave feeling inspired, hopeful and equipped with practical tools to create meaningful change.
Charlie explores how organisations can recognise, value and support different ways of thinking. Blending lived experience with HR insight, she shares practical strategies for creating inclusive cultures where neurodivergent people feel understood, empowered and able to contribute at their best.
This keynote focuses on moving beyond awareness to meaningful action. Charlie explains why autism acceptance matters in the workplace and offers clear, practical guidance on how leaders and teams can build environments where autistic colleagues can thrive.
Charlie examines the intersection of neurodiversity and LGBTQIA+ identity, highlighting the unique experiences and challenges faced by those who belong to both communities. She encourages empathy, allyship and inclusive practices that recognise the full complexity of identity.
This session explores the impact of employee resource groups and visible advocates in shaping workplace culture. Charlie shows how authentic representation and active allyship help create belonging, strengthen engagement and drive meaningful organisational change.
Charlie explains how psychological safety underpins high-performing, inclusive workplaces. She provides practical tools for leaders to foster trust, openness and belonging, enabling teams to collaborate more effectively and support diverse perspectives.
Our Equity Committee at PixelSpoke engaged Ausome Charlie for one of our quarterly equity workshops. From our first communication, Charlie was responsive, engaged, and approached our conversation with curiosity. We collaboratively created an interactive session that tapped into Charlie’s vast expertise and lived experiences with neurodiversity. The session engaged our entire team—including Management and Leadership—to build a shared understanding of neurodiversity, with a focus on communication and better connection in the workplace. Our annual equity survey demonstrated it to be one of the most appreciated and engaging sessions of the year. Ausome Charlie provided concrete takeaways and actions to continue our work in creating a more inclusive environment. We hope to work with Ausome Charlie again to build on the knowledge and action steps from our first workshop together.
Our Neurodiversity Network and OnePride Employee Resource Groups hired Charlie to deliver a talk last week to celebrate PRIDE. We wanted to showcase the two communities and how they can intersect in many individuals. Not only did Charlie deliver a fantastic talk, but her communication style was also easy to follow and highly engaging for our participants. Her openness about her life experiences and those of her family truly illustrated the topics she discussed and brought the ideas to life.
Charlie was professional throughout the planning process and an absolute pleasure to work with. I highly recommend her as a speaker if you are interested in educating a group on topics related to Neurodiversity. Charlie truly is Ausome!
