All student workshops are either half day or full day with all tools and materials are provided.
  • Save the world- The world is set to end; the young engineers must find a way to move the broken fuel cell and refuel their rocket without using their hands.
  • Hands free movement- Learning about simple mechanisms, students will make their own gripper to move an awkward item from one location to the other, as well as coming up with as many solutions as possible.
  • Unsinkable ships- Students will use materials not designed to float to create their own boat that can carry a “sweet treat” load. A focus on waterproofing and making the impossible, possible.
  • Design, build, test- A classic bridge building activity, with a twist. Students need to build a stable and functional bridge that will be tested to destruction.
  • 3D Printing for innovation- The world doesn’t need more plastic. This is 2-day session based upon designing and printing your own designs.
  • Mars Rover Session- You are part of a multinational mission to retrieve a new element from Mars. You will need to work with other nations and teams to adapt your own radio-controlled car and traverse all the obstacles in your way.
