Amit studied medicine at Cambridge and qualified as a doctor, specialising in emergency medicine and major incidents. Dr Philippa Kaye is an author, journalist and mother who now works as a GP in both privately and for the NHS.

Philippa is one of those irritating clichés, she really did always want to be a doctor, apart from a very brief spell of aspiring to be a ballerina (also a cliché, sorry). But she has always been fascinated by science and by people and medicine is a career which thankfully combines the two. She grew up in a very large and noisy family, where everyone knows everything about everybody. This may have led to her becoming quite nosy, some people may prefer the term ‘interested’, but the truth is, she is nosy, but as a doctor this can be a great thing because a bit of nosiness helps to find out about people which may in turn affect their health.

Anna Hemmings is Britain’s most successful female marathon kayaker with a staggering eleven World and European Championship medals, 9 of them gold.

By the age of 24 she had been World Champion 3 times and competed at the Olympic Games. In 2010 she was awarded an MBE for her services to sport.

Anna achieved this success against all the odds. She was told by the British head coach that she was not big enough or strong enough to be a great kayaker. She proved him wrong. At the peak of her career, Anna was diagnosed with Chronic Fatigue Syndrome and was told by medical experts she might never race again. She battled her way to full recovery and went on to win a further 3 world titles and compete at her second Olympic Games in Beijing 2008.

To be a world Champion in sport gives that person a unique perspective on the difference between being a winner versus just being a competitor. Anna has been a world championship winner 6 times and knows the secrets to success.

It was a pleasure working with Chelsea from Inspirational Speakers in preparation to our professional training course and conference in mid November 2023. I had a last minute cancellation for our regular speaker, but Chelsea managed to secure a great alternative for us literately in 48 hours. Very efficient, great communication throughout, I can definitely recommend the service to those who's looking to source a highly professional speaker for their event.
