August is always a little quieter on the events front, and this year has been no different. We’ve taken the opportunity to enjoy a much needed team get together in Wales – a brilliant chance to reconnect, reflect, and recharge before the busy autumn season ahead.
This time of year is also perfect for checking in with our wonderful speakers. August often brings a wave of exciting updates, fresh achievements, and new projects, so we’ve been busy gathering news and refreshing bios to make sure everything is up to date. It’s always inspiring to hear what our speakers have been working on and the impact they continue to make.

This month, we’re spotlighting the inspiring Ollie Thorn! Ollie is a disabled endurance athlete, renowned disability inclusion advocate and fantastic corporate speaker.
Ollie is in high demand for two important moments in the calendar: Men’s Mental Health Month (Movember), where he shares a powerful and deeply personal story that breaks stigma and encourages open conversations, and the International Day of Persons with Disabilities, where he draws on his lived experience and global work in disability inclusion to equip organisations with the tools to create true cultures of belonging.
With authenticity, courage, and practical strategies, Ollie leaves every audience not only inspired, but ready to make meaningful change. A truly remarkable voice for both wellbeing and inclusion.
New speakers

Diagnosed with Autism at the age of 15, Nathan Sherratt has gone on to become a passionate advocate for neurodiversity and an inspiration to anyone feeling confused or isolated because of their diagnosis.
Nathan has never allowed his own barriers to limit his self-belief and has forged a successful career as a semi-professional football referee for the English FA, as well as establishing his own coaching company, The Third Team.
Matthew Mallinson is an experienced and inspiring Deputy Head Teacher at George Heriot’s School in Edinburgh. With over 20 years in education and leadership, Matthew brings a wealth of insight and energy to his work with schools and educators across the UK.
Promoted to Director of Sport at just 26 years old at one of Scotland’s leading independent schools, Matthew has been shaping educational culture and strategy from a young age.
Few speakers combine leadership, technical expertise, and real-world business growth like Charlie Whyman.
An engineer by background, a sales and marketing expert by accident, and a Managing Director by invitation, Charlie has spent nearly two decades leading, coaching, and growing businesses in industries as diverse as aviation, mining, healthcare, sports and commercial shipping.
Cortney Harding is an in-demand expert in helping businesses harness the power of artificial intelligence, spatial computing, and virtual reality.
She has created AI-powered conversational avatars for companies like Amazon, the NIH, and Verizon, and virtual reality training scenarios around topics like child abuse, workplace exclusion, mental health, Black maternal mortality, and racial bias for companies like Lowe’s, Walmart, PWC, Target, and more.
Dr Talan Skeels-Piggins is a globally respected authority on resilience, leadership, and peak performance in high-pressure environments.
A former Royal Navy Lieutenant and NATO advisor, Talan draws on decades of experience in both military and elite sport to deliver compelling, actionable insights for organisations navigating challenge and change.
Moving from South Africa to England aged 20, Jaco van Gass joined the elite Parachute Regiment in the British Armed Forces.
During his second tour of Afghanistan in 2009, Jaco was hit by an RPG (Rocket-Propelled Grenade), His injuries included the loss of his left arm at the elbow, a collapsed lung, punctured internal organs, shrapnel wounds, and multiple fractures. He underwent 11 surgeries and intense rehabilitation. Incredibly, he survived.
