Chris Moon MBE is a renowned international keynote speaker and workshop leader who truly walks the talk, pushing beyond limits, embracing change and leading through adversity.
His extraordinary life story is a powerful testament to the resilience of the human spirit. He survived being taken prisoner by the Khmer Rouge, one of South East Asiaโs most brutal regimes, and later, while clearing landmines for a charity in remote East Africa, was blown up, losing an arm and a leg. Taking immediate and decisive action to save his own life, he went on to teach himself to run again, becoming the worldโs first amputee ultra distance runner and completing the legendary Marathon des Sables in 1997.
A former army officer, Chris has taken on some of the worldโs toughest endurance challenges, including the Badwater Death Valley 135 mile ultra, the Devon Coast to Coast 117 mile race, and walking the 500 mile Camino Way in record time. He has also led teams through demanding challenges, from climbing Mount Kilimanjaro to cycling the length of Cambodia. He shares these experiences in a humorous and uplifting way, bringing to life practical principles that people can apply in their everyday lives. With a masterโs degree in human behaviour and experience working alongside psychologists and business schools, there is real academic rigour underpinning his insights.
