Sue began her career playing for Tranmere Rovers, where she played for 8 years.

Following her time there she then played for Leeds United for the following 8 until 2010. Sue then featured for Lincoln Ladies for a year before seeing out the last 6 years of her career at Doncaster Rovers Belles.

However it was for the England team where Sue really made her name. Sue made 93 appearances for England scoring 16 goals. In that time she made her debut as a 17-year-old, scoring against Germany, and scored a hat trick against Spain in 2001.

Sue twice won the Nationwide International Player Of The Year Award – in 1999 and 2001.

In 1991 she was also voted Players’ Player of the Year. Since retiring Sue has been a regular on our TV screens for many years for both the BBC and Sky Sports.

Sue has been a regular on Soccer Saturday for many years and she combines her considerable work for Sky Sports with appearances for Premier League Productions and the BBC, where she is a much admired co-commentator.
