Simon Jack is a distinguished financial journalist and broadcaster who has served as the BBC’s Business Editor since 2016.
Simon frequently presents the flagship Today programme on BBC Radio 4 on Saturdays. Before this role, Simon Jack was the Business and Economics Presenter on the Today Programme and was well-known as the face of BBC Breakfast’s business news.
He regularly appears on the BBC’s One, Six, and Ten O’Clock News and hosts the popular Good Bad Billionaire podcast on BBC Sounds.
In 2015, Simon Jack made headlines with a special edition of Panorama for BBC One, where he investigated the tragic circumstances surrounding his father’s death and delved into why middle-aged men have a higher suicide rate than other demographics.
Simon’s career began in commercial and investment banking, where he worked for ten years before transitioning to journalism. He holds a degree in Politics, Philosophy, and Economics from Oxford University.
