Savannah Marshall is a 2x Olympian, Professional Boxer and currently the undisputed super-middleweight world champion.

Born and raised in Hartlepool, Savannah discovered boxing at 12 when she joined the local Hartlepool Headland club. Known by most as Hartlepool Headland boys club, there were unsurprisingly not a lot of female boxers at the club. However, after a childhood of sparring with boys and showing she had what it took, Savannah initiated change…starting with the sign above the door. An illustrious amateur career followed, including winning a World Title in China in 2012. Savannah then became a member of the Team GB Boxing squad, representing Great Britain at London 2012, and Rio 2016 Olympics. She also won Gold at the Commonwealth Games in 2014 in Glasgow.

Savannah turned professional in 2017, signing with the legendary US boxer Floyd Mayweather Jr, she subsequently made her pro debut in Nevada, USA. Returning to the UK later that year, she linked up with her long-term trainer Peter Fury, and in 2019 she secured a promotional contract with industry leaders, Matchroom.

In October 2020, in what was only her ninth fight, Savannah became WBO Middleweight World Champion by defeating Hannah Rankin at Wembley Arena.

In September 2020, it was announced Marshall had signed a new exclusive deal with Sky Sports and up and coming promoter Boxxer. Her first fight under the new deal was with Lolita Muzeya in October 2021. The event took place at the Utilita Arena in Newcastle, with Savannah coming out on top in dominant fashion, stopping previously unbeaten Muzeya in the second round. Almost exactly a year later, over two million viewers tuned into Claressa Shields vs Savannah Marshall, making it the most-watched women’s professional boxing event in history and creating the biggest audience for a live women’s sport event ever on Sky Sports.

On July 1st 2023, Savannah became the Undisputed Super-Middleweight World Champion, after beating American boxer Franchon Crews-Dezur by majority decision. This made her just the second English boxer, male or female, to be an undisputed champion in the four-belt era.
