In a world of constant change, uncertainty and pressure, people can easily fall into automatic patterns of thinking and behaviour. We react rather than respond, make decisions under pressure, communicate without really listening, and allow stress and overload to influence the way we think and perform.
Pete believes that one of our greatest opportunities is to interrupt those patterns.
STOP 2 THINK helps people become more aware of their automatic responses, create space to think more clearly and make more intentional choices.
The result is better decision making, stronger leadership, healthier relationships and more sustainable performance.
The philosophy grew from Pete’s own experiences and a deeply personal journey following the illness and death of his wife, Hannah. Alongside his coach, friend and mentor Dr Ray Sylvester, Pete spent years exploring the relationship between our thoughts, emotions and behaviours, including recording a year’s worth of daily reflections. What began as a personal exploration has evolved into a practical framework that Pete now brings to organisations around the world.
With more than three decades of experience working with world class athletes, executives, leaders and global organisations, Pete combines this experience with powerful storytelling, humour and practical tools that audiences can apply long after the event.
Whether the focus is leadership, high performance, wellbeing, resilience, decision making, communication, teams or navigating change and uncertainty, Pete’s message remains consistent: the way we think influences the way we lead, perform and live.
His keynotes are designed to help people step out of automatic thinking, challenge their default responses and create the space to think, lead and perform with greater intention.
