Paula Reid specialises in leadership and understands teamwork, strategy, performance and how organisations tick.

Paula Reid has trained corporates for ten years and was a shareholder with ‘Involve’ an employee engagement company for 8 years. She has also been a Chair with the Academy for Chief Executives and Vistage CEO groups.

Paula is an adventure psychologist and motivational speaker who is the third British woman to complete the challenging 1000km trek across the Antarctic continent to the Geographic South Pole.

One of the few to successfully ski the full distance, Paula began her journey at the Ronne-Filchner Ice Shelf and reached the Geographic South Pole at 90⁰ South in less than fifty days. As a motivational speaker, she travels the UK sharing her experiences and insights into perseverance and determination to help others achieve their life and business goals.

Climbing for 12 hours daily in temperatures below –40°C and battling severe wind chills and storms, she faced numerous challenges. Her motivational presentations and awards demonstrate her success in overcoming these obstacles.

Combining her love for adventure with her passion for psychology, Paula, who holds a master’s in Positive Psychology & Coaching, created the niche field of Adventure Psychology. She provides tools for maintaining peak performance, endurance, and resilience over time. With over 30 years of experience working with business leaders, her clients include Barclays, Palo Alto, the M.O.D., and GSK.  In 2018, she founded Adventure Psychology and owns Paula Reid.

Paula inspires people to take risks, work hard, and aim high. She personally volunteers in Ukraine – along the front line – and cycled across Ukraine in 2023 from Odesa to Belarus for ‘HopeFull’ charity. Paula is able to also deliver talks on this, and managing risk and fear. In addition to her polar expedition, Paula has completed numerous other adventures, including paddling 600 miles down the Mekong River, kayaking the Thames from source to sea, and sailing around the world in the ten-month Global Challenge Yacht Race.
As the world’s first Adventure Psychologist, Paula Reid helps people and businesses thrive in the face of the unknown.

What people say

Paula delivered a terrifying inspirational talk that will give the audience food for thought with some of the challenges they have ahead. She really connected with the audience, and used their names – nice touch!

Many thanks – you were absolutely brilliant and inspiring yesterday. What a story you had to tell, and you told it beautifully. I could almost hear the guys in the audience revving up as you talked! PS You were right: your ‘big wave pix’ were way better than mine!
