Paul Martin is an event host magician and after-dinner entertainer who uses comedy, magic and mind-reading to create an unforgettable experience. Paul’s special blend of event hosting and entertainment captivates audiences, makes people laugh and whips up the wow factor with a few magical surprises along the way.
Paul qualified as a member of the world-famous Magic Circle – awarded the Silver Star, don’t you know – and spent 20 years working as a magician at private parties and corporate events. He then moved into cabaret, adding mind-reading and stand-up comedy to his box of tricks.
Paul then had a lightbulb moment. During his years of entertaining, he’d seen first-hand how important the host was to an event – and how a host could literally make or break an event. Paul thought what about if he took his comedy, magic and mind-reading and he became the host? I could be the entertaining, funny, go-to host who always made events memorable – and for all the right reasons. And so Your Magical Host was born.
Since then Paul has taken his unique blend of hosting along with his after-dinner entertainment around the world. He entertained everyone from blue chip companies and celebrities to royalty and taken to the stage for hundreds of events including awards ceremonies, charity fundraisers, corporate celebrations and gala dinners.

Over 25 years I’ve taken my after-dinner entertainment to thousands of corporate and private events around the world. Big-name brands and celebrities have – so they tell me – enjoyed my act. I’m also one of a select few magicians to perform at home (their home, not mine!) for the royal family.
Did I mention that I’ve performed in front of royalty? Oh, it was nothing – just Elizabeth and Philip, Charles and Camilla, William and Kate, Harry and Meghan, you know, the usual crowd. The venues? Highgrove, Sandhurst, Windsor Castle… those kinds of places. I’m not showing off… who am I kidding, I am! But isn’t it good to know that if the royals will have me I must be alright.
It’s important to me that your event is a success. Before I take to the stage, I work closely with my clients to ensure everything goes right on the night. I advise on things like sound, lighting and table layout to give you reassurance that all eventualities have been covered. Of course I can’t guarantee a glitch-free event – but I can guarantee that as a professional entertainer I’ll always keep calm and carry on with the show.
