Jeremy Vine is one of the UK’s top broadcasters. He hosts “The Jeremy Vine Show” on Radio 2, the most popular news program on UK radio.

He is also well-known for presenting BBC1’s “Points of View,” BBC2’s “Eggheads,” and for his engaging election graphics. With his energetic style, unique perspective, and timely wit, he makes an excellent host for awards and conferences.

Jeremy has previously been a presenter on “Newsnight,” a political correspondent at Westminster, a reporter on the “Today” program, and an Africa correspondent based in Johannesburg. Notably, he is one of only four presenters in the history of “Panorama.”

Beyond his presenting roles, Jeremy charmed audiences as a contestant on BBC’s “Strictly Come Dancing” in 2015.

His journalism career began with a traineeship at the Coventry Evening Telegraph, but his passion for radio started even earlier. At age 12, he had a ten-minute segment on one of Kenny Everett’s shows on Capital Radio.

Jeremy joined the BBC in 1987 as a News Trainee and, by 1989, became a reporter for Radio 4’s “Today” program. His early assignments included covering an out-of-work ballistics missiles expert in Siberia and being ambushed in Croatia when war broke out in Yugoslavia.

As a political correspondent at Westminster, Jeremy covered a turbulent period in British politics, from the collapse of John Major’s government to the rise of New Labour.

In 1997, he started reporting from Africa, covering the Eritrea-Ethiopia border war, Algerian elections, and various other critical events in Mali, Zambia, Zimbabwe (where he interviewed Robert Mugabe), and Sudan (where he interviewed the leader of an anti-American Islamist regime).

Jeremy has worked on numerous high-profile stories worldwide, but he considers his proudest achievement to be his exclusive report on South African police brutality for “Newsnight” in 1999. The report won the Silver Nymph at Monte Carlo and led to the suspension of 22 police officers. He then joined “Newsnight” full-time and was the sole presenter on the night of 9/11. His success continued with an award-winning “Panorama” episode on the Shannon Matthews abduction, which drew record audience figures.

He was named Speech Broadcaster of the Year in 2005 and 2011 at the prestigious Sony Awards and is also an accomplished author. With his versatility, energy, and expertise, Jeremy is an ideal choice for any event as a host, keynote speaker, or after-dinner speaker.

What people say

Jeremy was a fantastic host! He joined our team for dinner which gave him a feel for the room ahead of going on stage. His intro speech was relevant and very amusing and well received by the room.”

CN Awards, October 2022

Jeremy was excellent – what a really nice guy and an absolute gentleman, a real pleasure to work with. From the moment Jeremy arrived he made himself one of us and mixed with all the members and guests. He was fantastic company on the top table. When it came to Jeremy’s performance he was just terrific. Such great energy and enthusiasm. Really interesting but also so humorous – most of the 100+ audience were laughing and applauding throughout. You know a great performance when the 40 minutes go in a flash and you never look at your watch – and hope it never stops. When formal proceedings ended there was a long queue of members and guests looking for a picture with Jeremy and he selflessly obliged and then stayed after many had left to socialise until the end of the evening.”
