Felix Riley is a British speaker, strategist, novelist and entrepreneur whose fast, story-driven keynotes show audiences how to think bigger, braver, and more brilliantly.
His signature talk, The Flea Jar, reveals how even the smartest teams unknowingly limit their potential – and how to break free to achieve extraordinary results.
Felix’s career has been anything but ordinary – from BBC comedy writer to City broker, entrepreneur, Penguin novelist, and global negotiator. He has worked on trading floors, film sets, and mining deals in Africa – experiences that give his talks a rare mix of humour, humanity, and hard-won insight into how people and organisations really think.
As a business strategist, Felix works with leaders across law, consulting, finance, and technology to unlock what he calls “brilliant thinking” – ideas that explode opportunity. His talks are energetic, funny, story-rich, and packed with take-away tools that change the way people see problems.
Felix tailors every session to each audience and has delivered talks for global law firms, major consultancies, private banks, global charities, hospitals, and enterprise-scale organisations.
A fast, story-driven, entertaining keynote on innovative thinking – showing how even the smartest leaders and teams accidentally limit themselves, and how to break free. It blends sharp insight, practical strategies, and memorable storytelling.
A provocative, intelligent keynote that confronts the AI revolution head-on – revealing how artificial intelligence is already reshaping the legal profession, and why the best lawyers won’t compete with AI, they’ll lead it. This talk transforms existential anxiety into strategic opportunity, showing why judgment, empathy, and trust will become more valuable, not less.
A fun but unflinching talk that reveals how fear quietly drives too many of our decisions – and why the smartest leaders flip that script, embracing mistakes as their greatest teacher and the gateway to bold, brilliant thinking.
The talk reveals why storytelling is one of the most powerful tools in leadership and commerce. Stories don’t just inspire and align teams – they cut through complexity, make ideas memorable, and build trust. For customers, stories transform transactions into relationships, helping organisations connect on a deeper, more human level and stand out in crowded markets.
Introducing you to the incredible Felix, he has done some talks for our members about leadership and entrepreneurship. He is engaging, fun and the members have gone nuts for him.
This summer we organised a symposium of healthcare providers at our offices in Hertfordshire. The day before, our keynote speaker cancelled and – with virtually no time to prepare – Felix was asked to step in. Not only did Felix more than fulfil the brief, his talk about thinking more creatively to realise better strategies within our respective businesses – and within our professional community – was absolutely terrific. He was engaging, enlightening and (dare I say it) very funny. Many enjoyed the Q&A just as much as the keynote speech itself – and the event reflected very well on me. Felix has asked me for a testimonial and I have no hesitation in recommending him.
