Deborah is a British multi-millionairess and well-known dragon. Deborah moved into the leisure and retail industry after her franchisee experience, running several successful businesses before being appointed the Managing Director of Weststar Holidays, a holiday park owned by Deborah’s family.

During a management buyout, Deborah acquired a large shareholding which allowed her to later sell the company for £33 million with a retaining stake of 23%.

Deborah transformed business during her time at the helm, making the vacation experience in to high quality service catering for over 150,000 people a year.
Deborah Meaden’s innovation meant the business enjoyed further success and Deborah sold her remaining stake for an astonishing further £83 million. After Weststar, Deborah became a corporate investor and became a household name as a judge on the hit BBC show Dragon’s Den. Since starting the show Deborah now has equity in sectors spanning baby products, antique valuation and even a recipe website.
