Deborah Meaden is a highly successful entrepreneur, investor, and business leader, best known for her role on BBC Twoโs Dragonsโ Den, where she has championed and invested in a diverse range of businesses since 2006.
A self-made multimillionaire, Deborah launched her first company in her teens, later establishing one of the first Stefanel fashion franchises in the UK. She went on to build a successful portfolio of businesses in the retail and leisure industries, most notably transforming her familyโs holiday park business, Weststar Holidays. Under her leadership, Weststar grew into a high-quality, service-driven brand catering to over 150,000 holidaymakers annually. She led a management buyout, secured a majority shareholding, and eventually sold the company in deals worth over ยฃ100 million.
Beyond business, Deborah is a passionate advocate for ethical and sustainable practices. She actively supports numerous environmental and animal welfare charities, serving as a Fellow of WWF, a trustee of Tusk Trust, and an ambassador for the Marine Conservation Society, World Horse Welfare, and the RSPB. In 2022, she co-hosted The Big Green Money Show, exploring the role of businesses in sustainability.
