Cornelia Oosthuizen is an extraordinary individual with a remarkable story of resilience, determination and positivity.

Her talks are insightful, moving and deeply motivational, a true celebration of overcoming adversity and setbacks through strength of character.

From a young age, Cornelia faced significant family challenges, yet she forged a distinguished career in the Army, rising to the rank of Major. In an unexpected twist of fate, it was not during active service but while representing the forces on the tennis court that she sustained a life changing injury.

After years of enduring a chronic pain condition, Cornelia made the courageous decision to have her leg amputated, a turning point in her journey towards reclaiming her life.

Refusing to be defined by her injury, she was selected for the GB team at the 2017 Invictus Games in Toronto, where she won a bronze medal in tennis. Even more astonishing, just four months after taking up golf, she achieved the unthinkable by winning gold – a shining example of what is possible with focus, self belief and a positive mindset.
