Caspar Berry is a leading keynote speaker on the topics of Decision Making and Risk Taking.

Caspar uses the metaphor of poker as a vehicle to communicate universally resonant messages around the need to take risk and seize opportunities. He leaves audiences informed, inspired and empowered to take better decisions to achieve their objectives and goals.

Story, maths, metaphor and logic are combined to create speeches which are funny, challenging, thought-provoking and often, genuinely transformative.

Caspar started his career as an actor. He’s probably best known for playing ‘Gill’ in BBC One’s Byker Grove. After two years of acting, he read Economics at Cambridge University. He spent much of his time directing theatre such as the Cambridge Footlights and working with performers such as Olivia Colman, David Mitchell and Robert Webb.

Whilst still at university he had his first screenplay produced by Film Four. By the time he was 23, Caspar was writing for Miramax and Columbia Tri Star– his film writing future looked good. However, aged 25, Caspar made a decision that would change his life forever… he moved to Vegas and became a professional poker player!

What people say

We had the pleasure of Caspar Berry speaking at our Annual General Meeting this year. Casper was so well received and incredibly professional. His speech was inspirational and a lot of our guests were keen to thank him and talk to him after he had finished. Casper definitely lived up to expectation and gave everyone a lot to think and talk about.
