Baz Moffat is a former elite athlete turned coach and a leading voice in womenโs health and wellbeing, dedicated to helping women better understand their bodies and unlock their full potential.
After achieving academic success with a first class honours degree and a Masters, Baz went on to represent Great Britain in rowing, winning multiple medals including silver at the 2007 World Championships. Her journey from academia to elite sport is a testament to her determination, resilience and drive to perform at the highest level.
It was after retiring from competitive sport that Baz found her true calling. She went on to build a successful international coaching business focused on pelvic health, supporting women from elite athletes to new mothers to improve their physical and mental wellbeing. Her work explores the powerful connection between mind and body, helping women feel stronger, more confident and more in control of their health.
Baz is the co author of Female Body Bible, an instant Sunday Times bestseller published in five languages, alongside Dr Bella Smith and Dr Emma Ross. The book combines cutting edge science with lived experience to challenge myths and break down taboos around womenโs health.
Drawing on her own experiences in elite sport, Baz is a passionate advocate for change. She speaks openly about the lack of female specific coaching and the impact this has had on generations of women, and now works to challenge the systems and barriers that continue to hold women back.
On stage, Baz is honest, engaging and empowering. She champions equality, amplifies womenโs voices and equips audiences with practical insight to help close the gap between potential and performance, both in sport and in the workplace.
Midlife is stressful – itโs a time when there is a lot of life happening and hormonally there is a rollercoaster going on, which can quickly lead to confusion, overwhelm and burnout. Baz has worked with 100โs of highflying women who have been challenged by this inevitable life stage and need help to know what to prioritise given the limited time they have available to focus on themselves.
Baz enlightens audiences with anecdotes from her past and the power of mind over matter. Her willingness to succeed and determination not to give up, saw her being the last pick for Team GB, ultimately, winning a medal at the 2007 World Championships.
Baz talks candidly about her lessons learned from Sport and Business, navigating the pitfalls of burnout, imposter syndrome, a full life schedule and staying purpose driven. She elaborates on what it took to set up a business, deemed necessary by peers, in a market that didnโt exists.
