James is a recognized authority in Conversational AI Technologies. He is the founder and CEO of Vixen Labs, one of the UK’s leading Voice Technology companies, which was acquired by House 337 in 2023. He has extensive experience in the ethical use of AI, the corporate deployment of advanced AI systems like ChatGPT and GPT-4, and the integration of conversational AI into marketing and business strategies.
Before his current role, James led the LEGO Group’s Emerging Platforms & Partnerships team within the Digital Consumer Engagement division. There, he explored new technologies and platforms to enhance digital consumer engagement globally. As Head of Social Media for LEGO’s social network for kids, LEGO Life, James helped grow the platform to over 2 million active users. He developed innovative social features and oversaw the launch of LEGO’s global partnership with GIPHY, achieving over 1 billion GIF views in its first year.
Prior to LEGO, James worked with top marketing, advertising, and public relations firms, including Edelman and Ogilvy. He led digital marketing, mobile, and social campaigns for clients such as Diageo, Unilever, Bose, PayPal, HP, and Adobe.
At Vixen Labs, James established the company as Europe’s leading full-service Voice Agency. Vixen Labs specializes in voice consultancy and design, helping brands leverage voice-first technology and conversational interfaces for effective communication and promotion. Under his leadership, the team grew from two to over 20 staff members within three years, even during the pandemic, leading to its acquisition by House 337 in December 2023.
