Many of the practical tips and techniques that Ian explains can be easily transferred to any business situation that requires you to speak up and speak up well – from conference calls, team meetings or delivering presentations.

Ian Hughes, an award -winning actor and business coach, is an engaging world-class speaker. He speaks for corporate audiences at conferences, strategy sessions and meetings. His relaxed conversational style has been fine-tuned by over twenty years of experience performing in front of thousands. His passion, commitment and energy enable Ian to inform, stimulate and inspire with audiences at all levels.

Winner of the first Royal National Theatre Ian Charleson Award for Best Actor, Ian spent over a decade playing leading roles with The Royal Shakespeare Company. His other work includes both plays and musicals in London's West End, TV and film appearances as well as radio and voice-over work.

Ian Hughes has taught at the many of the UK's leading drama schools, is an Education Associate Practitioner for The RSC and was Head of Acting at St. Mary's University College, London for two years. With a BA from Birmingham University and an MA from the internationally renowned Shakespeare Institute in Stratford upon Avon, Ian continues to work on and teach practical approaches to Shakespeare's text. Recent teaching includes Cambridge University, Zurich University and Heidelberg University.

Ian Hughes is a Corporate Facilitator and Business Performance Coach. He is a Senior Associate at That-People-Thing and Taming Tigers working with organisations and individuals both nationally and internationally to increase impact and performance. Recent clients include The Welsh Assembly Government, AXA, Roche, DX, Legal & General, Lease-plan and Honda.

Ian Hughes has been described as 'one of the very best keynote speakers..fascinating..insightful..utterly brilliant'. For over 20 years Ian has performed and spoken to a vast range of audiences, from the intimacy of the British Embassy in Washington DC, to arenas seating many thousands.

As an award-winning actor ( the first recipient of the Royal National Theatre/Ian Charleson Award for Best Actor presented to Ian by Sir Alec Guinness) Ian has worked in every aspect of the industry from theatre, the West End, Television, Film, Commericals and Voice-Overs narrating over seventy television documentaries. Ian spent over a decade at The Royal Shakespeare Company sharing the stage with the likes of David Tennant, Simon Callow, Kenneth Branagh and Judi Dench. His film work has taken Ian to film at Warner Brothers Studios in California with John Barrowman and to Prague with Dwyane 'The Rock' Johnson and in London with Al Pacino. His television roles include many iconic series including Gavin & Stacy, Torchwood and Robin Hood.

Ian Hughes is a  corporate facilitator and business coach and has worked nationally and internationally with some of the world's leading companies focussing on personal impact and communication. He brings his vast experience from stage and film work to the training room utilising many actor-training techniques that have, on many occasions, transformed delegates 'house style' and seen significant improvements in performance.

As an experienced performer of Shakespeare's work, a teacher of Shakespeare at some of the UK's leading drama schools, an Education Associate Practitioner for The Royal Shakespeare Company, holder of a Masters Degree with Distinction in Shakespeare from internationally renowned Shakespeare Institute in Stratford upon Avon, Ian speaks about the leadership lessons contained within the works of Shakespeare and their relevance to the modern business leader.
