Played semi finals Wimbledon, 1984 aged only 19

1984 US Open lost a 5 set thriller to Ivan Lendl

Won the Davis Cup for Australia, 1986 fighting back from 2 sets to 0 in the deciding match

1987 Australian Open, lost a tough 5 setter to Stefan Edburg

Won Wimbledon Championship, 1987 beating Lendl in straight sets

Australian Open, 1988 final lost to Wilander 8- 6 in the 5th set

Continued on the full time circuit until 1989 despite Achilles tendon knee and back injuries

Music
Pat Cash’s second love to tennis is music. Learning his trade from close friends like Ronnie Wood and Adrian Smith, Pat has become an accomplished guitarist. If not donning the stage with the likes of INXS, as he did at the Australian Open 2003, he has his own band that play at festivals and corporate events.

Charity
As a dedicated charity man Pat works closely with GOAL and Planet Ark. Goal is a charity that works towards ensuring that the poorest and most vulnerable in our world and those affected by humanitarian crises have access to the fundamental needs and rights of life. Planet Ark is an Australian not-for-profit organisation that was set up by Pat Cash and international charity campaigner Jon Dee back in June 1991 to addresses environmental issues in Australia.
