Mark is a former world class athlete who enjoyed success at an Olympic level.  Mark’s pinnacle achievement was winning a Silver Medal at the 1996 Atlanta Centennial Olympic Games in the 4 x 400m relay.  Uniquely Mark is the only European athlete to have beaten the World Record holder Michael Johnson. biography

Mark is a former world class athlete who enjoyed success at an Olympic level.  Mark’s pinnacle achievement was winning a Silver Medal at the 1996 Atlanta Centennial Olympic Games in the 4 x 400m relay.  Uniquely Mark is the only European athlete to have beaten the World Record holder Michael Johnson.  Mark has also won medals at World, European & Commonwealth level.  Mark retired from competitive athletics in 2003

Mark has the most compelling story to tell, which is engaging, motivating and describes how he overcame adversity to reach his goals. With the backdrop of the Olympics and Paralympics in London 2012 and with Glasgow winning the right to stage the prestigious 2014 Commonwealth Games his story is very apt.

Mark is an accomplished performer in this area.  Mark was an integral part of the BBC Radio 5 Live commentary team at the Athens Olympics, Helsinki World Athletic Championships and Manchester Commonwealth Games.  Mark has also progressed from being an expert summariser for Sky Sport’s to being a track side reporter on their athletics coverage.
In addition Mark has acted as In Field Presenter at the televised UK Athletics events, including the London Grand Prix presenting to an audience of 18,500 spectators.
